Get your affairs in order.

As many of you know, I lost my dear husband, Bob, on July 11, 2022 out of the blue. There’s nothing like kissing somebody goodbye in the morning and then them dying that day that changes your perspective on life forever.  I enjoy life more now than I ever did - every day - purposely. And I don’t take anything for granted because I know we are not promised any days - right now is the best time to say I love you.

A deep passion of mine is to help others make sure that their affairs are in order.  Bob and I thought we had our affairs in order with wills and trusts and such in place, and there were still a lot of things that were missed that made things more difficult than they should have been at an already difficult time. I’m so passionate about it that I have offered to help pay for estate planning for anybody in my office.  I’ve written about it several times on Facebook and I have had so many people reach out to me and thank me for helping them actually get their affairs in order instead of talk about doing  it. ;)   

I thought in conjunction with my month in review email I would do a blog every month on estate planning from my experiences and those of others and professionals in the field. This first month I thought I would just reach out and see if anyone has any personal experiences they would like to share with me that might help others or just to see if there’s any particular topics any of you are especially curious about. In keeping with this passion, I plan to host an estate planning clinic at my office over the winter here.
