Today we’re celebrating one of the cornerstones of Lewis Realty — our very own Eric Lewis! If you know Eric, you know he’s as genuine as they come, with a sense of humor that sneaks up on you and a deep love for the Black Hills he calls home.

Let’s get to know him a little better through a fun birthday Q&A!

Hometown Roots: Eric grew up in the scenic town of Hill City, SD and has called Custer home (off and on) for an impressive 27 years. He knows these Hills like the back of his hand — which is probably why he’s such a trusted real estate expert here.

Real Estate Beginnings: He jumped into the real estate world in 2001 and hasn’t looked back. His advice for buyers? “You can’t go wrong investing in Black Hills property.” For sellers? A little dose of reality — “Your property is not worth its weight in gold.” (Told you he’s honest!)

First Ride: A Plymouth Horizon — humble beginnings that prove it’s not about the car, but the journey.

Soundtrack of His Life: If you’re cruising with Eric, you’ll hear anything by Bob Seger pouring out of the speakers. And speaking of music, his best concert ever? The Eagles — which sounds exactly like something a man with excellent taste would say.

Guilty Pleasure: When the workday’s done, you might catch Eric watching Dexter. (We’re not going to read too much into that one…)

Dream Getaway: If you see him packing a suitcase, it might just be for Bora Bora — a well-earned tropical escape!

At the Mall? Not a chance. You won’t find Eric wandering a shopping center — he’s more likely to be out on a trail, at a showing, or relaxing in the pines.
