Random Musings Part IV

With July being the third anniversary of Bob’s death, it strikes me how time flies and stands still at the same time. In some ways, my life has changed so much that that seems like a lifetime ago and other ways it seems like just yesterday. Such a strange mix of emotions. Some of the funniest things strike me here and there like I finally used up the last bottle of hydrogen peroxide that he bought and I still have about four bottles of rubbing alcohol left lol and I bought ibuprofen for the first time since he passed away. Too funny!  I wonder if he’d like the house and I think he would, but I don’t think that it would’ve ever been built if he was alive because I don’t think that he could have lived through that building process. It’s a balance keeping the memories alive because less and less people in my life knew him, yet not dwelling on the past,  while being content and happy where I’m at, and looking forward to the future.  I think about all the people before me and all the people to come and how they all go through all these steps just like me and we never really think about it and we never really talk about it. Just a strange thing. I feel a kindred spirit with certain people that went through that time with me and are still in my world. There is a bond that new people in my world probably can’t understand - like going home and getting recharged. Anyways, those are my random thoughts for this month! Remember, people that have lost loved ones do love to talk about them from time to time.  Is there anyone in your world that’s lost a loved one that needs to hear a special memory you have of them? It might just make their day!!
